The Community Development, Evangelism and Educational departments of the Youth Realities Network (Your-Net) being the National Lead Agency (NLA) for Global Youth Service in Ghana supported by Global Youth Service (GYS), Global Youth Action Network(GYAN GH) and other sponsors brings you the 9th Global Youth Service Day (GYSD) event from the 25th - 27 th April 2008 .
The event which will be focused on the prevention of Malaria through Soccer and Education is aimed at bringing over 15,000 (Youths and Adults Volunteers) from various educational institutions, Community Based Organizations, Clubs, Associations Etc.
CAPACITY BUILDING TRAINING
YOUTH REALITIES NETWORK (YOUR-NET) is organising a three day capacity building workshop from 20th -22nd April, 2007 at Ashaley-Botwe for selected youth leaders, associations and clubs.
Youth Realities Network-(YOUR-NET), a non-profit organization, aims at empowering young people in the community, to engage in community development.
The theme of the workshop is ‘MDGs AND CIVIC ENGAGEMENT-ROLE OF THE YOUTH IN THE IMPLEMENTATION PROCESS'.
The training is in line with, Global Youth Service Day celebration, which falls on the 20th-22nd April, 2007. This capacity building training will be coordinated by Cyril Nii-Ofei France serveral others(Programme Coordinators)
YOUR-NET, wants to use the platform to educate and inculcate the spirit of civic responsibility in the youth to be agents of change in their community.
The objective is to create awareness on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and sensitize the youth on the concept of civic engagement.
Participants at the end of the training will initiate community based projects for implementation.
YOUR-NET will be available for further deliberations if necessary.
